Happy Holidays, and thanks for all the contributions to kickstarter up to this point!

Just to illustrate the importance of Mail correspondence, I've made a little video illustrating just how personalized the experience can be.

Just a reminder that I only have until January 1st to reach my goal for my Kickstarter Campaign. Please consider making a donation. Every little bit helps!

A Nice Surprise

I have been making mail.art postcards over the past year specifically with this sentiment in mind...

It is one of the most memorable pages in my Richard Scary book growing up.

I devote my Mondays to working on my art most weeks, but over these past few months I have been focused on creating works for the Support Mail.Art Kickstarter Campaign. These are works that I will most likely never see again after they are sent out to the recipients. It is something that I think about often. In essence, it is the process in which I make the mail art that is important to me ultimately. Not the product.

In the computer tech world that we live in, the urgency of communication is supported primarily through text messages, emails, and on occasion... phone calls, which makes mail.art even more romantic in my opinion. The efforts in which a letter goes from me to you are often left unrecognized.

I encourage everyone to take a minute from their busy day. Find a stamp. And send a note to someone you love through the mail box... Even if it is someone you talk to daily.

Hand write it. It makes things so much more personal for someone to know you took the time to write out every word and not use SpellCheck.

You will make someone's day.
